Depigmentation of gums is a simple surgical procedure that is performed in a minimal amount of time under local anesthesia.

The dark pigmented areas are removed to expose the naturally pink tissue underneath, sounds apinful but is not at all just feels like your regular scaling but you'll be numb so wont feel pain just a minimal amount of pressure. The dentist will apply a  surgical dressing which sticks to the gum to  assist in the healing process, which should be quick and problem free if you follow your post-surgical care instructions. Post operativley you will have some pain so work ahead of the pain and take a painkiller before your anaestetic wears off you can continue with your painkillers for the first 24hours after the procedure. Its vital that you follow your normal day to day oral hygine to maintain a healty an infection free mouth.

The end result is a healthy smile that looks natural and radiates confidence.
