  1. Most of the gun friendly areas in this country enjoy lower crime. Take Las Vegas in comparison to NYC. I went to Las Vegas a few years ago, a place so gun friendly that when I was walking through the terminal to go to baggage claim their was a giant poster add for a gun range down the street offering machine guns for rental. The worst thing I hear of while I was their was a man stole a tv and road away on a mountain bike (weird, I know, but that's beyond the point). When I was in NYC a few years ago, a place so un-gun friendly that it's all but impossible to get a firearm. I turned on the tv in my hotel room and heard about an 8 year old boy shooting a 10 year old girl in the face with a handgun at point blank range, a woman who was shot through a window while scratching off a lottery ticket, several stabbings, and so on. I watched that channel for about 20 minutes, seeing nothing but reports of crimes before I got tired of it and turned off the tv. Most of the high crime rate in this country comes from the few places that have extremely strict gun laws such as NYC, Chicago, Washington DC, etc.

Also, other countries with strong gun control suffer similar fates. England doesn't record crimes unless they're solved. So when someone gets shot and the cops cant find out who the shooter was, the shooting isn't recorded in the statistics. It's a little known fact, but they basically just do it to make the crime stats look better to attract more tourists and the like. They banned hand guns over a decade ago and now it's actually getting so bad in London that parliament is literally considering banning pointed kitchen knives. Don't believe me?

Viscount Bridgeman: In the tragic environment in which we live, with its large incidence of knife crime, committed so often with short blades from the kitchen drawer, we might be forgiven for feeling that we were taking part in a fringe performance.

"False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Can it be supposed that those who have the courage to violate the most sacred laws of humanity, the most important of the code, will respect the less important and arbitrary ones, which can be violated with ease and impunity, and which, if strictly obeyed, would put an end to personal liberty... and subject innocent persons to all the vexations that the guilty alone ought to suffer? Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. They ought to be designated as laws not preventive but fearful of crimes, produced by the tumultuous impression of a few isolated facts, and not by thoughtful consideration of the inconveniences and advantages of a universal decree."

  2. I think their should be just more stricter gun license laws to make sure guns don't get into the hands of sociopaths.

  3. Not much control. No guns mean only law breakers have guns. What if everybody packed at Varginia Tech. Would Cho have been knocked out of the gene pool before he could do so much damage..

  4. When you put a ban on all hand guns the only people that abide by that law are the law abiding citizens.  The criminals will still find a way to get guns.  That makes it impossible to protect our families from criminals.  God knows that i do not want to hurt or kill anyone, but I will if someone is threatening me or my families lives.  I would like the choice to own or not to own.  If you are for gun control and dont like guns dont buy one.  But remember the guy that breaks into your house will probably have a gun with or without gun control.

  5. Gun control is keeping all your 9mm rounds in the 10 ring from 25 meters at rapid fire.

  6. The crooks and sociopaths are always going to have guns.  Banning anything seldom works.  I have no problem with citizens owing guns.  The waiting period seems to be a good idea in case someone is buying a gun  out of fear or rage.  It might be a good idea for anyone buying a gun to take a couple of lessons, but as I said, the loony will always know how to get their hands on weapons.

  7. My opinion is that you should do your own homework! The 2nd amendment give US citizens the right to own guns. That's what the framers of the constitution had in mind with that amendment. Guns don't kill people, bullets do!

  8. Guns really should be for hunting only. I don't know how you can

control guns but many people would be alive today if there was a

    way.

  9. We already have plenty of gun control laws. Now if only they were enforced  everyone would be happy. We don't need more laws.

  10. gun control only punishes the law-abiding citizen.  criminals and lowlife scum can find a gun if they wanted to....and they do.  gun control removes the ability to defend one's self, family and property from responsible citizens.
