  1. 10 gauge goose gun!!!  that will plow and plaster those d**n clay pidgeons!!

  2. firstly show him you are mature by being mature in everything like school and chores and getting along with siblings. now i'm a rifleman myself, but a 28 guage? you said you did a bunch of reading? get a 12 guage so you can use it for hunting birds and even big game with rifled slugs.

  3. What does your Dad say about this? It doesn't matter what we think it's what he thinks, that matters.

  4. I suggest u get a 20 ga. because u can use those all ur life they r much more powerful and alot more fun to hunt with and you will deffinanly kill more things. Trust me you will be much more happy with a 20 ga than a 28ga.

  5. 28? Be a man and get a 12. Or at least a 20. How old are you? If your under 18 you have to show him your competent and understand the dangers. You must respect these weapons as they were made to end life.

When I was 20 I got me a 12 gauge. I just bought it behind my parents back, they were upset but I used my own money and I was of age. Now I got more. My mom doesn't like it but she won't stop me as she knows I know what I'm doing. She's more scared of my stockpile exploding than my guns.

  6. Obviously not  lot of skeet shooters out there. The 28 gauge is fine for skeet shooting but I would get a 20 gauge for these reasons.

20 gauge ammo is much more available.

20 gauge will cost you more than half as much for a box of 25, 28 gauge costs 10.00 for a box of 25.

You will find a load of 20 gauge guns for sale new and used at reasonable prices.

  7. A 28ga is a poor choice for a skeet gun.  It will make breaking clays very difficult, and will likely turn you off of the sport.  If you are young, I would no suggest anything less than a 20ga.  A 12ga will give you the best results.  A gas operated semi automatic 12ga will have less felt recoil than a fixed action 20ga, and it will be comparable to a 28ga.

With that being said, first of all take a hunters safety course.  Even if you aren't planning on hunting, they will teach some very good safe gun handling skills.  Then have your dad take you to some skeet ranges.  They have guns that you can rent, usually quite cheaply, or borrow a gun from a friend and have your dad go with you.  One you demonstrate to him that you are willing to learn about safety and can demonstrate that safety to him, he will be more likely to let you get a gun.

  8. First off, there are that not many good 28 gauge shotguns made any longer.  You'd be better off getting a 20, you would have a great deal more choices for ammo.

If you are living with your parents and they say no guns in the house, then that's the end of that.

  9. Wait until you are 18 and on your own. Then make sure you get the proper training as well. You also need to work on your grammar.
