Gun Threats... HELP!?

Ok, well this nerdy kid in my class (i'm in 8th grade) told my friend that he thought about bringing in a gun last year. and he told her that he would kill her. i've tried to be nice to him since he doesn't really fit in, but i think he would actually do something like that. my first thought was to tell a teacher, but i think that might make things worse, because it'll make him more angry.

idk... what should i do?!?!??!?!?!

  1. Ditto everyone else. Tell a teacher or counselor, no question; it's not worth the risk of someone getting hurt.

  2. Do you watch the news at all!!!

This guy needs to be reported. There has been enough massacres in your country without another being added because no one was brave enough to tell someone. Also, these nutters usually go for people they know so if you don't tell someone, and he decides to go through with this, you may well be first on the hit list.

Seriously, report him now!! It is not only him that will be effected. How will you feel if he does do something and you didn't speak up?

  3. Inform a teacher or guidance counselor at once. Think about it--an angry reaction from him is tons better than other people dying.

  4. Well, it's better to be safe than sorry. I would alert a counselor. He might just be joking. But if he's trying to get attention he probably needs counseling anyway.

  5. You would obviously (HEllooo????! ANYONE IN THERE?) tell someone! Anyone! Get him out of the school, I am surprised you would have to ask such an obvious question.. Takes all sorts I spose'..

  6. Tell your teacher, and have your parents call the police right now.  Don't worry about his reaction, just do it.  You will be fine.  Just tell the teacher to keep it anonymous, and the police will do the same.

  7. talk to your school counsellor, in turn, they will talk to that student. legally, they can't give out your name unless you give permission, also they can't tell anyone unless you tell them they can. if your school doesn't have a counsellor, talk to somebody you trust (an adult) and have them talk to you about the situation. personally, i would say tell the principal if you don't have a counsellor.
