Privately owned guns supposedlly kill/maim hundreds of millions of humans per year. Global warming supposedly will either drown or burn most of humanity by the year 2037.

Which is the bigger threat? Will gun relater homicide kill off humanity before global warming can "ignite" us, or will global warming finish humanity off before the guns hunt us down & terminate mankind?

  1. Neither one

  2. gun control as well us global warming..

by controlling the use of a gun you also saved the environment..

why you can also save the environment simply because you stop the usage  of bullets and gun powder that may also harm our mother earth...

  3. Desperation from hunger, thirst and no where to live bring out the worst in people. With lots of guns around, the killing will be worse.

B t w, I do think global warming is very serious but I don't agree with your "by the year 2037" prediction.

  4. well....other than the fact your statistics are blatantly false, I have to go with global issues. The consititution protects our rights to guns, but not global warming. I see the biggest threat, being people who go BERSERK over the issue. I notice you didn't have all those specific accurate stats on the number of people who thwarted attacks, saved lives... etc, from the bad guys because they possesed firearms..but then I guess  those stats wouldn't fit your agenda very well. Do me a favor, the word to work on is "research"...do a little more before you start throwing out silly ideas that don't hold water!! Some people aren't as smart as you perhaps..they may actually believe what you're saying! In this case, you're throwing out such irresponsible stats is more damaging than either issue you asked about!...peace.

  5. By 2037 I think the earth will have a resolution to global warming but who can stop crazy killers?

  6. Actually, I don't believe in either.

  7. Gun control is irrelevant to me, so its global warming by default.

  8. Personally, I am more concerned about the government trying to take my guns than I am about global warming. Privately owned guns didn't kill anyone. It was the deranged criminal holding it that pointed it at another person and pulled the trigger. Most gun owners are responsible law abiding citizens that enjoy hunting or feel the need to protect their family from criminals.

  9. We need to prevent both.  Its more important to fight against gun control because its a more immediate threat.  Man made global warming can not be proved although its probably real.  I think everybody should own a gun and know how to use it.  Criminals prefer unarmed victims. 10. that's very interesting.

but i think global warming is a much bigger threat because it might kill way more people faster than the total of people killed by guns. i think that even though gun control is more personal to me because of the fact it is more prone to kill me now than global warming will, i believe that global warming is the bigger issue and needs to be dealt with.

it's hard to say. would you rather a few thousand dead or a few million? i would pick the few thousand any day.

  11. Gun Control is primary, It is always important to make sure you only hit your target.

  12. I would say guns are the bigger threat.  They kill off X number of people per day, slow and steady.

Global warming is slow and targeted to particular areas.  It may wipe out certain cities, but we can always adjust by moving inland.  It will be difficult, but it's manageable.

  13. If anything, by 2037, everyone will realize that they were wrong, and it will be -10 C at the equator in the middle of July. And plus, people, mainly crazy, but not limited to crazy people, with guns are a dangerous, controllable threat, meaning we can control them and the fact that they have guns. Whereas we still don't know enough about our climate to make any impact there, even if we invest billions into research, we wont learn anything because computer models are useless because we don't have enough data for them to work properly.

  14. Well, gun control and global warming are equally important and not mutually exclusive.

However, I think you may need to cite your sources for the rest of your question as they seem somewhat exaggerated to me...

"Privately owned guns supposedlly kill/maim hundreds of millions of humans per year"?

"Global warming supposedly will either drown or burn most of humanity by the year 2037"?

Where did you get this stuff?

  15. Your facts are made up.
