Question

I am 13 and am applying for a minors gun license in Queensland and have a few questions. do i need a license just to buy a category A&B gun locker from a gun store and where could i get one from? What is the best type of rimfirerifle for me too start off with(i have fired a rifle before)? can i buy a category A&B gun with my minors liscense? if not, my dad does not have a gun liscense soo how will i buy one? answers greatly appreciatly

im not really sure about queensland but in nsw you dont need a license to buy a safe. you should start with a 22lr because they are cheap to use and you can buy a new one for about $250. In nsw you can not buy a gun or have it registered in your name ,you can not even buy ammo or even use a gun without someone with a full liscence there with you. hope that helps

I have no idea on what kind of laws and regulations you must deal with in Queensland.

Rifle action/type: that&#039;s up to you and your Dad to decide.I don&#039;t have a clue as to whats available. Sorry I can&#039;t help.

you can buy the gun safe no problem, 22 bolt action is the best to start with  cheep ammo. No you will not be able to buy a rifle on a minors licence  you need to be 18 to buy, i would suggest you  have a look at  clubs around your area, and call  the weapons licencing branch  they will  help you  and answer all your questions.
