The reigning German champions are on a dream run since the start of the second-half of the campaign and are currently leading the Bundesliga standings table with 62 points from the 27 games played thus far.
The two sides will meet on Friday at the Signal Iduna Park and a win would take Dortmund eight points above Bayern Munich with the latter set to play their game on Saturday, March 31.
Gundogan stressed that his side cannot afford to take their opponents lightly as Stuttgart have been in impressive form of late. The midfielder admitted that the 6-1 win over FC Koln will give the team a lot of confidence and the
team has to capitalise on the winning momentum.
“You start from scratch in every game. It's not like we can take anything from the 6-1 against Köln into our match against Stuttgart. We need to focus all our energy on the next game on Friday. It's a new match and a new challenge,
which we're looking forward to,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to Bundesliga.de.
The German international warned his side against complacency and admitted that the opposition is well capable of pulling a result in their favour. The midfielder hailed Die Roten’s attacking mentality and showered praise on the

“They have plenty of quality, especially up front. They're good passers and have won a few games now so they'll be confident against us. But if we play our own way then there will only be one winner - Borussia Dortmund,” he concluded.
Borussia Dortmund cannot afford any slip-ups in the remaining course of the season as Bayern Munich are right on their heels in second spot. The Bavarians are five points behind the reigning champions with seven games to go in
the season.
The two teams will meet in possibly the title decider next month in a league clash at the Signal Iduna Park.
