The former Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder branded the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international as world class and expects big things from him in the future.
Gunter Netzer believes that Bayern Munich are blessed to have a player like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 in their ranks, adding that the Dutchman is extremely important to Bayern’s future plans, and could play a major role in his side’s treble pursuit. 
The former West http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 star believes that Robben has been unlucky to miss majority of the first half of the 2011/12 season due to injury. He feels that if the former Real Madrid man stays fit for the remainder of the season, he will be the main player in
Bayern’s pursuit of silverware.
The 67-year-old blasted the critics, who believe that the winger is selfish, and insisted that every world-class player has a certain level of selfishness in his game.
While talking to Express, the 67-year-old further stated:
"He is world-class for Bayern - Robben is pure joy. For Bayern to have a man of this quality is simply fantastic and for the club's game, it is extremely important. For Bayern to see that having him fit is a threat is crazy, they really have no problems.
If he is fit again he is a very important player for Bayern. He is an ambitious player but that's a good thing.”
"All attackers must have a certain amount of selfishness because it is common for them to not be involved in the game yet they are still expected to score goals." Netzer added.
The former Gladbach star reckons that Bayern will be a potent force during the second half of the season, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 will also be available for selection after remaining on the sidelines for two months.
Jupp Heynckes’ team is currently leading the Bundesliga standings with 37 points from 17 games, and will return to action against Monchengladbach on January 20.
The Bavarians have also qualified for the quarter-finals of the German Cup, and will take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Basel-c39079 in the knock-out stages of the Champions League.
