The former Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder reckons that the Real Madrid star will be a huge hit at Santiago Bernabeu.
Gunter Netzer reckons that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nuri-Sahin-c28251 needs to stay patient if he wants to be successful at Real Madrid. He believes that it is only a matter of time before he tastes success in La Liga.
The former West Germany international believes that Jose Mourinho should handle the Turk with care, and ensure his full fitness before bringing him back in the team. Netzer believes that Sahin is an ideal player for Madrid, and he can excel in any role in
the midfield.
The 67-year-old is confident that the midfielder will become an important figure in the manager’s plans once he returns to full fitness.
While talking to AS, the 67-year-old further mentioned:
"Sahin is a very, very interesting player who is very good. [His success at] Borussia was the key. [Real Madrid must] give him some more time, a year or half-a-year, because he will become an important player for Real Madrid in the future. He is a very technical
player, with great variety in his passing range, tactical awareness and high work-rate."
The 23-year-old played a major role in Borussia Dortmund’s success in the Bundesliga last season, winning the Bundesliga Player of the Year award for his impressive performances in the central midfield role.
Interest from clubs abroad increased, and the Turk signed a six-year deal with Los Blancos, and the main reason of his departure from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 was to play for a prestigious club as Madrid.
However, the former Dortmund player has struggled to make an impact at his new club, as constant injury problems have restricted him to just one league appearance.
Though Sahin has now regained full-fitness and made a goal-scoring return in his team’s 5-1 win over Ponferradina in a Copa Del Rey match recently, the midfielder is expected to feature in the reserves setup before making a return in the league.
