Guppies fry?

how many fry does a guppy have and how long does it take from first one coming out to last one

There isn't any certain number of fry that comes out and it depends how big the female is. When I had guppies I had one female who throw twice and she had in total about 30 at each time. When the female is say very dark underneath you will know it and it is time. I would suggest getting a fish hatchery, because the female will eat her young, that is just the way nature is. The female does not know any better and she thinks it is food and that is the same for most fish. I hope this answers your question. Good-luck

Typically a healthy average sized female guppy could give birth to 30-60 frys. And depending on the environment and other factors the frys may be release (born) over a period of an hour or so, keeping her in a well planted tank with a lot of hiding places for her and her fry will help her settle down and may shorten the birthing time.

my guppies have about 20 to 30 fish. this is my normal amount and i takes about two hours for them to finish birthing. When she starts to become active after giving birth she is most likely finished.
