Guppy economy help i dont know wat to do?!?!!?!?!?!??!?

i have 1female guppy and a male guppy, if i get a 5gallon tank for them to breed and a 2.5gallon to raise the fry would that work out????

  1. Sounds good but careful, the tank will get very overcrowded very soon as guppies breed like rabbits and have LOTS of fry.

Save yourself a lot of aggravation and get at least a 10 gallon tank.  Guppies should be kept in trios of one male and 2 females.  Make sure the tank is well planted and has lots of rocks.  Just let them be and don't remove the fry.  The strong ones will learn to hide and survive and you won't have to worry about keeping a small tank clean, warm and safe for the fry.  

    Even if you catch and remove all of them only about 25% will survive with the very best of care and then you have the problem of what to do with all those extra fish.  Stores will not buy them or even take them for free and it doesn't take long until you have so many you have no idea what to do with them.
