Guppy with a bloated chest...?

one of our male fancy guppies at work has a bloated chest and is having a bit of a hard time swimming, he kinda stays near the top of the tank most of the time. anyone have any ideas what is going on with him or how to treat it??? thanks! :D

1. yr male guppy mAY have swimbllader ! u will need to buy a treatment

2. ur male guppy might not be a male and it might be a female pregnant..

sounds like dropsy and a swimbladder problem probably caused by a bacterial infection. try an anti-internal bacteria medication but he may not survive for long, sorry

This could be one of two things. Possibly your male guppy is a female and is pregnant and guppys get pregnent very easily.

But its more likely to have swimbladder. This is when the fish has gas in its stomach and this affects the fishes bouyency. You can buy treatment for about £5 at pet stores but a better treatment is peas. Boil some garden peas and them take the skins of and put them in the tank and this helps the fishes digestion and also its a nice treat for your fish. :) hope this helps x
