Guptill, Styris out of New Zealand squad for Bangladesh
The New Zealand squad for the five-match series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 has been announced. Scott Styris, who was a part of the side in the recently concluded Micromax Cup tri-series in Sri Lanka will miss the series due to a stress fracture of the back.

Styris will now need to undergo a rehabilitation process, which will include a couple of months of strength work for the lumbar problem. He will start training for the World Cup only after that. Styris was obviously disappointed at having missed the Bangladesh series which would have been an ideal way to prepare for the World Cup to be held in the sub-continent next year.

However, he did say that he would aim to get fit by the time the series against India started. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 at home in a five ODI and three Test match series.

Styris is an all-rounder who has had his issues with form and injuries in the recent past. The tri-series in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 was his comeback series, and he immediately got into the thick of things with a half-century in the first game against India.

The other casualty from the squad was Martin Guptill, who was dropped by the selectors due to some shoddy form. He has been named in the series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 with the New Zealand A team and will look to regain batting form there.

The good news for the New Zealand team is the return of Jesse Ryder to the international fold. Ryder was out of the side since the Champions Trophy last year, before making a comeback in the World T20 this year. But another elbow injury laid him low and he missed the Sri Lankan tri-series.

There is only one surprise in the squad, and that is the inclusion of fast bowler Hamish Bennett. The coach of the Kiwi side, Mark Greatbatch said: “He has been included in the squad on the back of a solid NZA tour and multiple successful domestic seasons. He is an exciting fast bowler and we are sure he will make the most of this opportunity.”

Daniel Vettori and Brendon McCullum return to the side after missing out on the previous series that New Zealand featured in.
