Gurgaon Sports Injury Clinic diagnoses Indian batsman, Yuvraj Singh’s, injury accidently
Media reports have revealed that Yuvraj Singh’s lung problem was diagnosed accidentally at the newly opened Gurgaon Sports Injury Clinic, which forced him to miss the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 tour coming up next month.
Guragaon Sports Injury Clinic, run by Dr P D S Kohli, was inaugurated last week, by Yuvraj himself. Kohli said that the World Cup winning star did not take the problem serious in the initial stages despite a warning given to Yuvraj by him.
Kohli further added that when the star player came for the inauguration of the clinic, he told him about his lungs issue and also revealed that he used to face fatigue problem.
The veteran was then asked for some medical tests by Kohli after the inauguration ceremony. The results showed some issue, for which the player was advised to take two to three weeks rest but he did not take it seriously and expressed his wish to continue
playing.
The doctor then wrote to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) about the seriousness of his lungs problem, while he had already been selected for the Caribbean tour.
The aggressive batsman has been continuously engaged in cricket for last couple of months. He has been a key player during the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625, where he not only served as a useful batsman, but also as a vital left-arm spinner.
Following the mega event’s conclusion, Yuvraj started his Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign with the debutant, Pune http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Warriors-c861, as their skipper.
His side did not have a good journey in their first appearance in IPL and finished at the ninth place in the IPL standings.
However, his individual performance as a batsman was remarkable, as he ended up as the top scorer for his side, accumulating 343 runs at an average of 34.30.
Looking at his medical reports, BCCI decided to rule out the player for the series against West Indies on Friday, May 27th.
Apart from Yuvraj, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 is also missing some of its other key players like Gautam Gamhir and Virender Sehwag.
India’s Caribbean tour includes a Twenty20, five One-Day Internationals and four Tests and will start on June 4.
