How many of you are thrilled that Hurricane Gustav is ruining the GOP convention???!

While I am not happy about Gustav; and what it implies, don't you think it's ironic that the very people who prayed for rain in Denver, are now,,,,,?

Who the heck cares about the convention?  The fact is that this storm is bigger than any of this.  We are talking about lives hanging in the balance and homes being destroyed, and all you can talk about is the GOP convention being ruined?  Obviously you do not have a heart and are too blind to see that people's lives may be changed forever.  Do us a favor and go get a brain and while you are at it go get a heart.

I really don't care about how you feel about he GOP Convention, but I don't see why you have a reason to be ragging on Sara Palin...

She was nicknamed "Sara Barracuda" in school because of how she played Basketball.

She came in Second Place of the "Miss Alaska" Pageant.

She has fought against Republicans....

She found out her baby had Down's Syndrome 4 Months into her Pregnancy, yet she kept the baby.

And she doesn't sound like a decent person....

You must be one of those compassionate open-minded liberals. Why would you be thrilled about a hurricane? What kind of things would you be saying if you knew they would hold the convention full fledged during a national disaster?

It's not. The GOP will be holding their convention, as they have every right to.

However, it appears Bush will now not be speaking, which the McCain camp must be OVERJOYED about. Bush is saying he's pulled out to focus on overseeing the relief effort. Gustav is a 'godsend' for McCain.

I am not bush ruined the convention already i wont watch that c**p but dont want to see a hurricane take lives spec since we still have an uncaring incompetent adimin to deal with it and the national guard is still in Iraq. Sara pallin is cute the only thing the grand oil party has worth lookin at but not votin 4

LOL..are you guys serious?  "ruined"?  It is completely unintentional, but this hurricane is going to MAKE the convention.  The major players aren't going because they are actually out doing their job.  The ones at the convention have reduced activities down to the bare minimum and have already stated that one of the primary activities that will go on is to conduct fundraising activities for hurricane relief.  Their response has been timely, appropriote, organised, and compassionate.  They are nearly untouchable through this and, if everything keeps going like it is, will come out the other side looking like gold.  This also completely takes the teeth out of your protestors in St Paul.  You don't generate sympathy for your cause by attempting to torpedo disaster relief fund raising efforts.  This could go so much farther to promoting the GOP than any party/rock concert could ever even dream of accomplishing.
