Guti Hernandez heading to Sporting Kansas City as Besiktas stay comes to an end
Former Real Madrid player, Guti Hernandez, is on his way out of Turkish side Besiktas and has been linked with a move to Major League Soccer. Guti is unhappy with his current employers, Besiktas, and is looking to end his association with the club as Sporting
Kansas City line up at his door.
Both parties are entering negotiations to terminate their relationship by mutual consent. The 35-year old joined the Turks in the summer of 2010 but has failed to adapt to life in Istanbul.
Marred by disciplinary problems, the Spaniard has been left out of the squad this season. As a result, differences between the club and the player have escalated with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Guti-c15452 looking for a way out.
Guti returned to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 over the international break and was supposed to return for training in Istanbul this week. However, the player who cited personal reasons for returning to his homeland has failed to report back.
It looks likely that the brief relationship between Besiktas and the former Spanish international is set to end.
Guti lifted the Turkish Cup in his first season in his debut season with the club, which will be his last.
"Gutierez Hernandez has begun talks over termination of the contract existing between us," a brief statement from the club read on their official website.
Besiktas are seventh in Turkish top flight football after ten rounds of matches. They trail leaders Fenerbahce by four points with the majority of the season set to come.

Sporting Kansas City are one of the franchises linked with the playmaker. Sporting KC CEO Robb Heineman raised the possibility of the veteran player taking up Kansas City colours as Guti’s contract is terminated by Besiktas.
"'and btw making an offer on a Spanish DP today," Heineman's tweet said.
However, the American club have backtracked from the claims of their CEO. Sporting KC's vice-president of communications Rob Thomson rejected the notion of Guti’s transfer.
"Our technical staff along with our ownership group are looking at a lot of players right now, but Guti seems just to be a speculative rumour," Thomson said.
