Nuri Sahin certainly made it big when he joined Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, but the Dutch coach, Guus Hiddink, argues that staying at Borussia Dortmund would have been a better option for the German-born Turkish midfielder.

The primary reason for Hiddink’s suggestion is that currently Real Madrid are full of star-players, and a growing talent like Sahin may not be given a proper chance to grow according to his real potential.
Mourinho already possesses players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sami-Khedira-c32325, Diarra, Mesut Ozil and Kaka, who are all more experienced than Sahin and can play in the Real Madrid midfield.
The Dutch coach believes that with abundance of players available to Mourinho, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nuri-Sahin-c28251 might not get enough time to play in the first team. Hiddink was quoted saying:
“Nuri is a future star of the game. I am quite proud that he's currently under contract with a team like Real Madrid. However, I feel that it would perhaps have been better for his development had he stayed with Borussia Dortmund.
"He would get a lot more playing time in Germany. There would have been plenty of time to move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 at a later stage in his career."
Nuri Sahin was the youngest footballer to play and score in the German Bundesliga, and for the Turkish national team. His role in Borussia Dortmund’s successful 2010/11 season was also remarkable.
On the contrary, after arriving at Real Madrid, Nuri Sahin has not been able to show his best form, mostly because of a knee injury that he picked up at the start of the season.
