http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vladimir-Gabulov-c36341 backs the under-fire manager despite Anzhi’s latest Russian Premier League defeat against Dynamo Moscow at Makhachkala stadium.
In the latest round of Russian Premier League action, Anzhi Makhachkala dropped two points against Dynamo Moscow by surrendering to a 1-0 defeat at Makhachkala stadium. The host team failed to net an equalizer after Vladimir Rykov
put the visitors in front by scoring in the 37th minute.
As a result, Anzhi have dropped down to the seventh spot on the league table. The expensivly assembled side was the second best in almost all departments against a team that recorded their second win of the third league round.
There’s little arguing that Suleyman Kerimov, the Anzhi president, has made expensive purchases during the last two transfer windows. The likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Balázs-Dzsudzsák-c7248
have all joined the interesting project Makhachkala.
But the fact that Anzhi have failed to meet the expectations in the Russian top division, despite having a star studded squad, prompted Kerimov to sign former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager, Guus Hiddink, in the winter.
However, Hiddink has failed to impress ever since he joined the Dagestani club. The Wild-division, after crashing out of the Russian Cup, are now in fear of losing out on the European football next season.
Anzhi goalkeeper, Vladimir Gabulov, has lamented their latest defeat against the Moscow-based club. However, he backed Hiddink despite the defeat and assured the fans of turning the tables in the remaining matches of the ongoing
campaign.
“We still have five league games left to play which means we can claim 15 more points. Anzhi have huge potential and have a lot of players with quality. We created many chances but we were out of luck against Dynamo.
“Hiddink is disappointed with the results but he does not share his personal feelings with us. He is the same person who has achieved so much in the past.” The UEFA Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Reports in Russia suggest that Kerimov has started negotiations with the former Zenit St. Petersburg head coach, d**k Advocaat, over a potential move to the Makhachkala-based club.
