Abou Diaby has attracted a lot of plaudits in recent weeks following some impressive performances for Arsenal in the Premier League.
And Guy Roux, who has managed the midfielder while he was with Auxerre, is the latest in the list to heap praise on the Frenchman.
The 73-year-old stated that Diaby is an amazing talent who has complete control over his game. The Arsenal man is different from other players and the things he does on pitch are simply incredible.
“http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Abou-Diaby-c3453 is a rare player, when he is in full possession of his means. No player in his place knows how to do what he does.”
The former Lens coach added that any coach in the world would love to have a player like Diaby in his team, and the 26-year-old is like a gift from God who is loved by the coaches and fans.
Roux said that the Frenchman is a really skilful player with great understanding of the game, and it’s a treat to watch him play.
“Abou is a gift of nature for a coach and all lovers of football. He can eliminate four or five players in a row without retreat. He has a touch of the ball and a great vision of the game,”
However, a number of injuries in last couple of years have slowed down Diaby’s progress, and Roux feels that the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international lacks physical strength despite having immense talent.
According to his former coach, Diaby lacks strength in his lower limbs, and Roux is of the view that the Frenchman needs to gain more weight if he wants to live up to his potential.
“Unfortunately, he lacks the strength in his lower limbs. He is mounted on two matchsticks with glue in the middle. Lord gave him immense talent, but he is also quite fragile.”
The Gunners midfielder has been named in Les Bleus squad for the first two World Cup qualifiers, and he is expected to be in the starting eleven against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Finland-c2898.
