A while ago, a guy in an old bomb of a 70's van was next to me at a light. He wanted to talk to me and he was trying to sell these "excess" speakers in the back of his van from a stereo shop that just closed. I turned it down but a few told me the took a look at them and they were total c**p from Red China. Any else seen a scam like this?

  1. In the late 80's, one of my friends used to do that.

Yes they are cheep speekers....   They get a load of speekers and usually have a bullsh*t cataloge that shows the items with a real high price.  They give you a "deal" at $100 apiece.  When they go back to the office, they pay $15 for any speekers that they unloaded.

  2. Yes.  Some of these guys pretend it is EXPENSIVE STOLEN radio.  But in fact they are c**p.  This way it is all legal.

    Good Luck...

  3. Yea, this happens a lot.  And who are you going to take it back to if it does not work?

  4. Sometimes it's actual stolen brand name car audio and it's a good deal.
