  1. i am i a raw vegan and i love it, it's healthy and more affordable. i would date a vegetarian i would prefer that than a meat eater! i have yet to meet a vegetarian guy but i know cali has a lot of vegetarians over there! lol

  2. I became a vegetarian because I kept feeling bad (not sick but guilty) after I ate meat.  There are other ways to get the necessary amount of protein so animals shouldn't have to be killed.  I can't say I personally know any guys that are vegetarians but I do know guys that eat a very limited amount of meat.  Which is not to say they aren't out there.  My boyfriend eats meat.  I don't ask him to stop and he doesn't ask me to start.  :)  Hope that helps!

  3. i am a guy, however i suppose if one is to look at it a certain way, i am not vegetarian. i choose to eat no red meat, poultry, pork, or basically anything other than fish and invertebrates (i.e shellfish, clams, etc) my diet is fairly in proportion with my Aegean lineage on my fathers side. the island he grew up on (Chios) is extremely hilly and unsuitable for large animal farming, goats were prolific, but used more so around the farm for milk, etc, rather than for the sole purpose of  killing them. as a result and the high maritime culture, the principle portion of the diet is fish and lots and lots vegetables,  and on very big occasions only ( Greek easter, weddings, etc) lamb. living in new york all my life i was detached from this island lifestyle, and as a result i had a very westernized diet, which was leading me in a road down to poor health. when my father had some heart issues resulting from extreme stress, i chose to completely eliminate meats from my diet, as well as because of my opinion of how truly horrible the  animals are treated prior to slaughter. i do not believe eating meat in itself is bad, i hold nothing against those that do. however, i am extremely against the mass industrialization of meat production.

in closing, i believe there is a natural balance in natures food chain, and as animals ourselves we are a part of it. we are omnivores, and the entire world including the animals would benefit from taking a moderate, not extremist stance in our eating habits. there is no way to eliminate animal suffering, just like there is no way to eliminate human suffering, such is life. we can however, lessen it.

to answer your other question, i would definedly date a vegetarian, i would date a meat eater as well. it matters on the individual merits of the person , no one  detail is a defining factor for me.

  4. I am a vegetarian by berth. I want that everybody should try to become vegetarian because animals also have rights to live on this planet.

  5. I used to be a vegetarian between the ages of maybe 11-14 because I disagreed with the way they treated and killed the animals. After maybe a week of eating meat I went vegetarian again because I realised I absolutely hated meat - taste, texture, everything about it. Been a vegetarian since then (I'm now 20).

  6. I like animals (I have a pet bird), but I love meat. My mom made me my dad, and bro go vegetarian for a month with her to lose weight. It nearly killed all of us because we needed meat. So I guess I did go veg for a girl once lol. Seriously, I applaud people who go veg for animals because I cant do it. However being vegan forms a paradox, because why stop at animals, plants are living things too who want to live, but it's ok to eat them because they dont have brains? I dont think animals should suffer, but I still want them on my plate. Man was made to be omnivorous.

  7. My husband and I are both vegan.  He was a vegetarian when I met him.  Don't assume all vegetarians/vegans are girls.  It is mostly girls on this forum, but in real life it is about 50/50.

  8. thats the same reason iam,

but i also hate the taste of most meat.

I know a couple vegetarian guys,

there cool and most tims HAWT

  9. I only hang around vegetarians so this has not been a problem for me. I did date a really good looking guy but I couldn't get past trying to watch him eat a hamburger.

  10. I am a vegetarian because of the inhumane way they kill animals. I drink Gallikers milk because they claim they don't use growth hormones and its local and people take pretty good care of their cows around here. My mom raises chickens so I eat eggs from them. She takes great care of them and they lay as they please. It's up to them. Not us.

  11. animals should not suffer for our pleasure.

    simple as that.

    i'm 15 and i've been vegetarian for 3 years.

it's just the right way to go.

  12. death is as natural as life.  while i do agree that animals should be treated with respect and killed humanely, i see no problem eating them.  plants are very much alive as well, and the natural order of things dictates death for life in all respects, be it plants, animals, etc.  things have to die so other things can live.  the herbivore eats the plant, the carnivore eats the herbivore, and when the carnivore dies, it feeds the earth and plant life.

but being omnivores, we humans have a choice.  we can survive on meat and plants, or just plant matter.  so while i respect the vegetarian's decision, i feel that the stance that it is cruel to eat meat is wrong, as described above.  nature is a neutral force, no matter what we perceive from it.

i could very well date a vegetarian, but i would not change my stance.
