Blog is shorted from web log. It is an online journal. Many sites provide a section for writing blogs. One of those site is Yahoo! 360.

To make money out of it is to give more spaces for other people to display their advertisements on your blog site/s (unfortunately, you can not do this with Yahoo! 360). You can get paid for providing the spaces. The most popular site dealing with it is Google Ad-sense. Search through Google site for more information. Good luck!
