Do you think its a positive trait for you lady to have to not want a wedding ceremony and is quite content with simply marrying you?

Essentially that whole being a princess for a day isn't important enough for her to spend the money and simply being with you is all she wants.

Ladies- feel free to give your input (always welcome)

  1. Definitely preferable.

  2. i dont want a wedding

  3. Definitely.  A small or no wedding and no diamond ring is what I'd prefer.

  4. Yes. Especially in this recession, a double h**l yes! No wedding, no problem!

  5. whats wrong with something in between the court house and a 40,000 dollar wedding?

  6. My parents got married at City Hall.  Much more realistic if you ask me, and you don't pay thousands of dollars for an expensive ceremony.  They're still together after almost 30 years.

  7. me and hubby did a very small, very much free wedding. me, him, our chaplain, my immediate family and his family. cost me exactly forty dollars (for the shoes..) everything else was bought for us, including a very nice tie that was a gift to him from my family. to us, it was important to be married in the eyes of the lord, so we had to have a ceremony.

    that's all we needed!

  8. My parents have been married for almost 30 years, and were married in my Grandmother's back yard.  My grandparents have been married over 50 years and were married at the courthouse.  A big expensive ceremony is a huge waste of money, and I would much rather put that money down on a home for us.  So if a girl wants to skip the wedding and just marry me, then I would definitely do it.

  9. Having a wedding is not about being a "princess for a day" and you shouldn't assume that's what girls who do want a wedding want.

Having a wedding is about celebrating the union amongst friends and family and it is worth it because it is a major memory not just for the couple, but for everyone who knows them.

Now if you know a girl who wants a wedding simply to feel like a "princess for a day" then you should run, don't walk, because that's a sign she's nowhere near mature enough to get married.

I totally think any girl who "needs to feel like a princess" needs to be kicked to the curb by her boyfriend period.

See, girls who think like that will always need something or someone to "boost up their self-esteem" and that is something we all need to find within ourselves BEFORE we commit to anyone else.

  10. I've know friends who spent thousands on their wedding day only to be divorced 5-6 years later..

My wedding is to be small , but very nice and memorable like having a ceremony on the beach.

  11. If I wanted to get married, it would be in a VERY private ceremony . . . on a whole other continent.

  12. I don't want a wedding either.  It's a waste of money.  It's the biggest sucker scheme ever made.  And it brings on too much stress.

  13. I want to a courthouse wedding, and to spend the major bucks on the honeymoon:)
