I know that they will be missing Icon players like tendulkar, ganguly and Dravid but still they are doing alot better even without them and moreover the youngsters are coming into play and gaining experience

  1. yes if it so that's interesting~

  2. The only youngster that has done well in the series so far have the bowlers and only 1 batsmen out of the youngsters.

Rohit sharma, yusuf pathan and raina have failed

  3. yes off coz they can.

  4. If India has won Test matches/series overseas in the last decades, it is because of heavy contributions by our Icons Dravid, Tendulkar, VVS, Ganguly and Kumble.

We will have to wait and watch if Yuvraj, Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, MSD can match them in the Test arena.

that is where you should judge real success.

We have always been doing reasonably well in ODIs.

The irony is even our last ODI series victory in Aus was influenced heavily by Tendulkar's batting.

  5. The problem I have been observing with Indian players is that when they wi9n couple of matches they become over confident and complacent and loose focus, which has been the main weakness of Indian team over the years,  I earnestly hope that these youngsters will not make the same mistake and carry on with the winning habits

  6. NO...Unless they perform well against top countries like SA and Australia Consistently,i'll not rate them highly

and scott, yousuf Pathan failed in only one match..yesterday he bowled 2 Overs gave 9 runs and took 1 crucial wicket..with an economy 4.50 and Raina scored 26 runs frm 22 in crucial time...you cant expect more than that when opposition took New Ball..and Piyush chawla (age 19) also playing well

  7. test match will only test the players caliber and technics

  8. Let the youngsters prove themselves on a difficult tour overseas, say Australia or South Africa. While I am confident they will do well, it will take some time to fill the place left vacant by the big 4. And that is quite natural. Till that time, we need to stand by them and realise that they are youngsters and not immediate replacements for the big 4. That will only create more pressure on them.

Give them time and take what they give you, not what you want.

  9. Lets not get carried away by beating one of the weakest pakistani sides since the 70s, and a pathetic bangladeshi side.

Fair enough india won the cb series in australia, but lets get real, if sachin didnt show his brilliance in the finals with scores of 117* and 91, then india would not of won against australia, especially since the likes of dravid, ganguly and sehwag werent in the side.

People need to think before they say things.

I also agree with kelly, that the only youngsters that have done well on this tour are the bowlers and gambhir, who isnt even young, hes 26.

Rohit sharma, yusuf pathan and raina have failed.
