Guys help!! Im old enough to wear a tampon but my mom still doesnt let me!! ?

Im going on vacation with my family and that whole week im going to have my period! I am old enough to wear a tampon but my mom doesnt let me! But I really want to go swimming... any solutions? Can I wear a pad, and then change it, like every time i get out of the water??? or is it gonna cause infection? can i wear tight shorts and pads??? PLZ help... i unno what to do!! thanks..

first of all you can wear tamps at any age.

second of all, explain to your mother that it would be no vacation if you couldn't go swimming.

worse comes to worse go bare... the water may dilute the blood, but once you get out you would have to change right away

Come on think about that.  A PAD, in water.  it will act like a diaper and soak up the water before it even gets to your flow.

You cannot go into the water without a tampon or moon/diva cup.

Why doesn't your mom let you?

Either wear one anyway (try tampax pearl lites first), or no swimming.

I've worn tampons since age 11, and I'm 34 now and prefer tampons over pads.

well you cud put on a pad and go in the sea, cuz there r substances inthe sea water that stops the blood from coming out, but for pool water, river water and any other you have to wear a tampon. You cud get a cousin or friend to buy them for you but make sure ur mom does not find out. don't tell her you have a period cuz she might ask you why ur in the water and realise you have a tampon in.

Just go to the store and buy pearl tampons. i mean if your old enough to buy them your old enough to wear them.dont wear a pad because then you have to change them every 5 minutes and if your mom finds out tell her "i wanna enjoy our vaction and i cant do that with a pad." lol and does your mom wear them?
