Guys help me to decide here...BMW M5 or a Merc SL 55 AMG?

if you choose M5 or the AMG tell me the reason why you choose this car..cos im having trouble choosing it.

I have driven the SL55 AMG, but not the M5.

I have driven the regular BMW 5 series and 6 series.

The SL55AMG is a bad choice. The ride is too smooth and quiet so you don't feel any speed. And it has too much torque. It is very hard to try to accelerate without spinning the tires. The Tires do not last long on that car.

However, it was the fastest Automatic car in the world when it came out.

Mercedes does not make Manual transmission cars.

The normal 6 series and 5 series are more fun to drive then the SL55 AMG so I am sure the M5 and M6 are more fun to drive.

The M6 is safer. The M5 and 5 series failed the side crash test ratings.

Its a dificult choice but i'd take the M5 because it is more practical, has one of the most advanced engines in the world and is the more driver focused car. The SL is a fantastic car, looks great and when a full chat sounds like a Nascar. I think either car you choose you'll get a superb machine that'll put a huge smile on your face.
