Guys how would you feel if.....?

Question

Your lady friend that's your age treats and sees your mom and dad as her second parents? Like a second mom and a second dad.

How does it feel?

Sweet and respectful she even says that your dad is like a dad to her and your mom is like a mom to her. They even treat her like their own.

Why wouldn't you like it?

The only reason someone wouldn't like that is jealousy.

I'd have no problem with that at all and I can't imagine why anyone would.

jealousy, they might think their parents might replace them. which would never happen

also because its a sort of possessive thing, their your parents not theirs.

I would like that but some guys don't like it because they you get too close.  If it ever doesn't work out, your own parents won't side with you, you have to listen about how they miss her, all your future girlfriends get compared to her, etc.  And while you are dating the parents distract her from you, she distracts them from you, they always want to talk about whatever, she'll always be around, she'll talk about her parents and then they have to meet, etc.

I'd prefer they were really close but I know alot of guys that would disagree.

Maybe he doesn't like it, because he doesn't like his parents too much himself and seeing his lover loving them is awkward.

That's cool with me as it shows that she likes my mom and gets along with her and thinks of her highly enough to consider her as a second mom.
