  1. go for ping G10  graphite, its the best in my opinion.

  2. Get him a 52 degree Cleveland wedge (preferably the rustic look).  Everybody can use a new wedge and these are great clubs.  You can pick one up for $70 bucks or so.  Throw in some Pro-V1x Titliest golf balls if he is a regular player.

  3. I'm with all of the folks here with the gift card thing. Girls buying golf stuff for a guy has the same success rate as guys buying lingerie for the girls. You wanted something comfortable to sleep in & we get you stuff that would be racy for the Pussycat Dolls. We wanted some ProV1's and you buy us some day glow orange balls because they were eye catching in the store. It just doesn't work....BUT do go with him & seem interested when he tells you all about the lofts of this club & the cc's of that driver. It always makes us feel good to think you care. Good luck!

  4. Gloves and balls. Let him buy his own clubs. Titlest prov1. I want the z forged irons from titleist and the new tour burner driver.

  5. Maybe a gift card so He can pick out what He needs.

Sometimes its hard to buy for golfers, but this way He can get what He likes.

  6. A lot of us play cheaper golf balls on a regular basis... I know I'd be impressed if my wife bought me a dozen or two Titleist Pro V1 golf balls.

  7. Nike And Taylormade are two excellant brands that are the best I have ever used

  8. Another vote for a gift card, or just take him with you to the store.  When buying golf clubs, it's always better to have customized equipment and when you go to a place like Pro Golf Discount, Edwin Watts or Golf Etc., they include the charge of fitting (loft/lie) in the price of the irons so you don't actually spend anymore.  Plus, an iron set may feel amazing to some but terrible to another.  Forged/cast, offset/no offset, stiff/regular shafts, midsize/standard grips, type of shaft, type of grip....there are just way too many options to try and take a guess at what he would like.  If you want it to be a surprise, just take him to the store and don't tell him where you're going first.  In the end, he'll get the best clubs for him that are fit correctly and exactly what'll be best for his game.  Or if you don't want to get clubs, Titleist ProV1s are always good. Good luck!

  9. It's like asking what car would you like. Everyone has there own preference. I would buy him a nice bag or something associated with golf, unless you flat ask him what kind of clubs he wants.

  10. Dunno what you wanted to spend, but he will be yours forever if you got him a gift card for like $500 to $1,000 to a Golf Galaxy or a Golf Smith.  It's too hard to figure what he will like.  Some golfers like to have a "mixed" set (Taylor Made woods...Mizuno Irons....Titleist wedges), and some golfers go with one brand thru the whole bag.  Unless you know for sure, get a gift card for him.

  11. Nike & Titleist. I'm 14 and would prostitute myself for these

  12. You might have to kinda ruin the surprise for him.  Take him to some place like Golf Galaxy, and have him look around while you act like you're lookin for somethin for you.  When he comes up to a set and says something like "Man, I really wanna play these...." say "Today's your lucky day!"

The point is, he should be fit for his clubs (length, lie angle and shaft flex).  Places like Golf Galaxy, Golfsmith, and most Dunham's do this (usually for free).  You can still surprise him, and the clubs will fit him perfectly!

  13. I like to imagine Ashleigh reading his or her question aloud, using this punctuation. Ashleigh would sound like an insane person.

"Guys please answer... it's about GOLF!!!?" hahaha calm down- here is a rule of thumb for the entire internet. Every time you were going to type an exclamation point, just type a period instead. It will make your sentences easier TO READ!!!!??!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!?!?

  14. Sometimes it's better just to get a gift card.  If he is a die hard golfer he would want to get a proper fitting for clubs and fairway woods. Just to name a few brands :::Tayloymade, Callaway, Titilest, Ping, and Nike are all good off the rack.

  15. Your Awesome!!! wish my wife would one day but me something for golf!!!!

Golf trip- Weekend deal for maybe you and him or for him and a buddy

Golf Shoes- FootJoy classics nothing like a pair of great golf shoes with style

Clothes-  Fairway Greens, Straight Down, Bobby Jones, Callaway a lot of nice stuff and at a good high line store.

Clubs- to be honest not for you to choose you may have the greatest intentions, but that's  for each individual to choose so I would say a gift card but that is coping out.

Balls-  No thought in that that is like buying your dad a tie

use your imagination and always get a gift receipt!!!!

  16. It comes down to how good he is at golf and how much you want to spend.  If you want to go middle of the road, then I would recommend Cleveland Launcher irons.  They are very forgiving for average players but are excellent clubs.  If you want to go top dollar, consider Taylormade Burner XD irons or Titlest.

For woods, I would say Taylormade Burners or Titlest.  They are outstanding clubs and not much more than the other brands.

Putter, top shelf is a Scotty Cameron but that is steep.  You can pick up a Nike iC for around $140.

  17. scotty cameron putter, new ping irons, new taylormade driver and he will **** himself
