Gwanako tipped to win John Smith´s Fox Hunters´ Chase
Gwanako is likely to prevail in the John Smith´s Fox Hunters´ Chase at Aintree in England on Thursday, April 12, 2012. The winning horse will be awarded a cash prize of £20,986.
A total of 26 runners have been confirmed for the race, which is scheduled to start at 15:40 GMT, and their names are as follows: Gwanako, My Way De Solzen, Cloudy Lane, Boxer Georg, Roulez Cool, Silver Adonis, Island Life, Offshore Account, The Polomoche,
Eleazar, Keenan´s Future, Sheriff Hutton, Unowatimeen, Fresh Air And Fun, Herons Well, Presentandcorrect, Bow School, Blackstaff, Sizing America, Teddy´s Reflection, Emergency Cover, Harps Counsel, Kildonnan, King Of The Road, Launde and William Butler.
The going will be good to soft in the race and the total distance to cover is 2 miles, 5 furlongs and 110 yards. This will test the stamina of all participants and the one who starts well will not be guaranteed a race victory.
Most of the runners in this event are quite experienced, thus it will be a close competition between them. However, the bookies have decided to give the best odds to Gwanako, who appears to be a very fit runner and might manage to win the race at Aintree
today.
The nine-year-old gelding has taken part in 17 chase races until now and his performances have not been bad at all. He has won five times whereas finished runner up on a couple of occasions. In addition to that, he has also secured the third place
once.
The Paul Nicholls’ trainee will be partnered by Mr James Cowley, who is quite new to the sport, but has the ability to win races regularly. He has won a couple of races while chasing and has a very good strike rate overall.
The bookies have also given pretty decent odds to My Way De Solzen, who has done a very good job in the 11 races he took part in. He has won five times and has secured one runner up position as well.
Other than the top two favourites, Cloudy Lane, Boxer Georg, Roulez Cool, Silver Adonis, Island Life and Offshore Account will also be competitive at Aintree.
