Gymnastic competitions outdoors?

Is there a reason as to why these kind of competitions cannot be performed outdoors?

I think that they might have to deal with crowd control, or maybe there would be winds which might effect performance or something.

I think it would be cool to watch though!!

i think they can but they just choose not to. i have no idea why
