Gymnastics: Cheng Fei 3rd; Pavlova 4th – by 0.05 points…?

Reference to the Women's Beam Final in artistic gymnastics (individual.)

*I’d like to know if anybody watched it. And if you did, did you notice how Russia, again, got beat out of the medal competition (for women’s gymnastics?) And did you notice the mere 0.05 point difference (between Cheng Fei and Pavlova?)

+Why am I asking? I was not able to watch Cheng Fei. I only caught the slow motion replay. But I did catch Pavlova. Having watched that, I don’t see how Cheng Fei was superior to Pavlova. Could you help me understand? Thanks.

[Note: Yes, I am aware of both Pavlova’s and Cheng Fei’s previous performances. But my question relates to the Beam Final.]

Cheng Fei got a higher score. The judges scored her better. End of story.
