Gymnastics.....HELP!!!?

Okay well heres the story. I am 11 years old. My sister is 19 and When she was doin a backhand spring i wanna learn to do that soooo bad but im scared to do it becuz of wat happened to my sister wen she did it she was a gymnast and wen she flipped bac her arm twisted and wen she landed she lost control of her left leg and that twisted also so she broke her leg and arm and im not a gymnast becuz rite now we dnt have the money to sign me up and my dad doesnt want me to do it....so i really wanna learn but is there a way to do it without a spotter and mats only cushions......my family is really poor we are about to be bankrupt so for like the next 2 months i can only go on becuz this is costing me money to go online so plz answer as soon as possible THANK YOU!!!! o yaa and i am trying to raise money for my sister so we can pay the hospital bill THANK YOU FOR ALL OF U PEOPLE THAT ARE READING THIS AND THAT CARE AND WILL ANSWER!!!!

  1. well first learn to do a back walk over.. u can do this by standin by a wall with your back to it and slowly bending backwards and having your hands walk you down the wall.. slowly after you have accomplished this you can try it without a wall.. the try adding a bit of a hop to it and soon enough u have got a back handspring!!!


  2. Like any other sport, you are bound to get hurt. The best and safest way to learn a backhand  spring is with a spotter and mats. If you land the wrong way or don't have the right body positioning, you could get hurt.
