Gymnastics!?!?

I am in gymnastics and cheer! Anywayz ever since i landed on my head doing a roundoff tuck ive been gettin mental blocks about roundoff backhandspring and tuck!

I can always do front tucks and stuff but i always get creeped out when doin' roundoff backhandspring!

How should i get rid of this mental block? plz answer fast! :]

  1. The only way is to practise it and do it right a few times

    then your confidence will come back, and you will KNOW you can do it right, And you will know that you are going to do it right.


  2. you just have to trust yourself and trust your spotter. i currently have mental blocks with fulls just because i have landed on my head 2 times and i have sprained my ankle once.

    you just have to stand there. tell yourself that you will do it and you will do it fine. take a deep breath and go. dont think too much about it just throw it. if you go 2 times without doing it. go off to the side and do 50 pushups or sit ups or something you dont like. so you are punishing yourself for not doing it. that way everytime you know that you dont do it you will have to do something you dont like to do.

  3. I had this once aswell but with a ro bhs bt and it gets fustrating. What I did was I did a lot spotted by my coach and I did em on the tumble track. once I felt comferterble I did them onto a mat till I got use to it and it was all god. Took me bout a month 2 get them back but it worked.
