how do i get a better scorp ?

i've been a gymnast for 10 years, and i quit like in january and now my flexibility completely sucks.

here's mine now;

well i need tips & advice because i need to gain my flexibility back for the upcoming season when school starts ! i'll also be taking classes during this summer so that should help a little too!

help me out please.

  1. well you gotta make sure you start to strech everyday.i lost alot of my cheerleading flexibilty last year to.

    i juss usually sit in a straddle in front of the tv and go to my rite my left and middle and just hold it. and try my spilts every so often

    you have to stay consisit with strectching.my stepdad says that yoga can help with flexibilty and strenght.i never did that but eh worth a try.basically to gain everything back strech everyday and improvements will come.


  2. go into splits and lay back and grad your back leg then pull keeping ur leg as strait as possible.

  3. it looks pretty good now, so you don't have far to go.  I would go with oversplits... I'm sure you know what it is, but stick your front &/or back leg  on a higher surface (like a panel mat) when you do your splits.  You can just keep raising the surface to make them more challenging, and bend your back leg as well or have someon lift if up off the floor :)

  4. jumping on the trampoline helps a lot.

    stretching every day and throwing in some new stretches every now in then is also helpful.

    getting a group together with your friends i feel is motivational because your all working together and you can help each other on your weaknesses. hope this helps = ]

  5. just stretch for like ten minutes everyday....and each day push your stretches even further. i know i hate that since ive quit doing cheerleading my flexibility has went down the drain...and i need to be doing the same thing you are...but lots of stretching!!! it works!
