i always wanted to be a gynaecologist, still want to be.

i live in the uk, im 15 now but thinking ahead, what subjects should i choose to do in college,

also after i study in medical school how do i start my career, my main aim to be a consultant but i suppose the practise comes first

Oh and why do some think is weird for me to be a gynaecologist, when they ask what a gynaecologist is they look at me twisted, then say why would you want to be that?

anyway first part was the main question the rest is opinion thank you in advance

  1. You follow the same steps as anyone who wants to be a specialist.

You start by taking the science subjects at college, chemistry, zoology, physics etc.

You go to medical school to become a doctor, and practice in a hospital or GP surgery.

Then apply for your speciality subject, Gynaecology.

  2. What interests you in this career, sorry i'm just curious x

  3. I used to want to be a nurse practitioner in gyno but I changed my mind - i can't imagine having to stick my fingers in pregnant women and tools in all other kinds of women. Ones with STDS, ones that are bleeding, breast exams... not for me. I plan on one day being a nurse practitioner in pediatrics.
