Gypsy Rose Guitars?

i really want to learn the guitar. its something ive never done and it think it would be fun seeing as though i love singing to my own songs and have no music. im a girly girl, my room is pink and its very stereotypical 'girl' so i found the gypsy rose guitars. they have a really nice look and there not too expensive. i was debating between acoustic and electric, but i decided i prefer the more mellow pure sound. The pink gypsy rose acoustic guitar is only $160 and it comes with a dvd on how to learn, a stand, a custom guitar case and a strap. It all sounds great but i just wanted to know if its big enough for a 15 year old girl? the description says its 7/8? i dont no what that means, is it much smaller then a normal acoustic guitar? please help!

  1. It is a 7/8 scale guitar which means that the fretboard is 7/8 of the length of a full size fretboard, and the guitar size is scaled down accordingly. Hey, John Lennon played a 3/4 scale Rickenbacker electric for most of his career as a Beatle and I think he did pretty well with it. Don't be concerned about it. The notes will have the same pitch as a full size guitar and it will be easier to play.
