H-Bomb? Beauty?

Is it just me, or are nuclear weapons the most awesome things in the world?

Dont get me wrong, the things they do and stand for are the worst ever created by mankind, but I truely believe there is something beautiful abouth them.

Its almost as if you can see the power and nature of physics and the universe - perfectly symetrical, fantastic patterns.

Is this odd?!! I would do anything to see them (rather not get nuked by one though!)

have looked on youtube but the problem is you cant get a sense of scale.

Anyone else agree nukes are great - perfectly pretty - the best ever fireworks!

Oh yeah.  I too am awed by the power and beauty.  There is a movie "Trinity and Beyond" that is pretty good.  I spoke to an ex-GI who witnessed an A-Bomb test after the war.  He said that when it detonated the first thought through is mind was "Somebody fu#ked up!  We are way too close!"  He said that the heat, even from miles away, was increadable.

I think we have enough pictures though.  I hope and pray the World never detonates another.
