H1B Transfer? Can H1 visa be tranferred to another employer before joining the company who spnsored?

I have a H1 visa & I haven't joined the sponsor company yet. Is it possible for a transfer even with out joining the company? Please advice. FYI I am not in US.

No. You have to be in US for the transfer. I have heard a lot of people claiming they can get the transfer done outside US without joining the sponsoring co, but till now, I havent got any verifiable reference from any of them.

No you can not UNLESS the second company is the parent/brother/sister company of the original company.  Your paperwork is for the original company and there fore does not allow you to move jobs. The second company would have to go through the whole process for you.

No it cannot be transferred because the application of visa is in your name and since you were sponsored by the company with whom you have decided you will no longer work with, you cannot just transfer the visa obtained by it as this is against US Immigration laws and can be objected to by the sponsoring company.
