H1B Visa??

Dear Friends,

1. I just got my H1-B to US approved. And the approval notice contains my consulate as Mumbai printed on it. Should I take the visa interview only in Mumbai consulate or can I take the same in Chennai or Kolkatha? Please advice.

2. And, one of my friends also has Mumbai as the consulate printed on his H1-B approval notice. But, he is working and residing in Hyderabad. Should he take the visa interview only in Mumbai consulate or can he take the same in Chennai or Kolkatha? Please advice for him also.

You may request to have your H1B interview at another location and have your file sent there.  However, if you really do want the visa, you might want to maximize your chances and do as little as possible to complicate the process.
