Question:

HAIR EMERGENCY. How do I make it stay straight?

My hair is moderately thick, and about three months ago I had it permed. It wasn't done how I wanted it, and I ended up with a massive head of curls, which I don't really like wearing. But since I had the perm, whenever I straighten it it ends up getting wavy and just generally looking bad. The humidity isn't helping; I straighten it before I go to school, and by the time I get there and check it it's all wavy again. How can I make it stay straight all day?

  1. The kiyoseki is the best straightner in the world trust me on this one.It can straighten and it can curl your hair if you want. And also when it hot outside your hair stays straight it will not frizz outside. This iron is also healthy for your hair.My hair is poofy frizzy SUPER curly and it works so good on my hair. I really cant live without it. To so see the commercial and reviews go to www.kstyler.com and if you have any questions you can always email me hope this helped.=)

  2. Sweetie you will have to invest in a good ceramic iron. Trust me this will do the trick, part your hair in small manageable parts, take your time and flat iron away! Hai is one of the best out there, you definitely want one that has a dial on it.

  3. Do you use gel or anything in it before you use the straightener?  You could use a wax stick after you straighten it, it should weigh your hair down pretty good, but you use too much throughout the day, your hair will look greasy.

Take some extra time when you straighten it and layer your hair, starting at the bottom layer and use clips to hold the higher layers closer to your crown.  My hair is thick and fairly long too, it could take me 30 minutes to go from bottom layer to top of my head to get a nice smooth look.

To permanently get rid of the curl, use perm solution from a drugstore or walmart & comb it through your hair like conditioner (don't get it on you either, obviously).  I don't think you will need to keep it in for as long as you would for the curls.  But, I would have someone help you and if your hair has been colored/highlighted lately, I would make sure it won't break off.  Myself and another friend did that and worked great for us both.

    Good luck!
