  1. With $41, start by dividing it by the lesser cost brand @$13 which will give you 3+ packs and that should be the maximum limit. With $14, you can have 2+ packs and that would be the lower limit.

    Within three packs for a total $41, and trying simple combination easily 2 packs for $14 and a pack for $13 would be determined.

    Answer: 2 packs @$14=$28 & 1 pack @$13=$13; Total=$41.

  2. x - the number of 10 ES

    y - the number of 11CW

    Then 13x + 14y = 41

    x and y are natural numbers so you can easily replace them

    You have to try all this cases.

    1) if x = 0

    then 14y=41 so y isn't natural

    2) if x = 1

    then 13+14y=41

    14y=28

    y=2 this is natural

    You can go on searching for another good cases, but I don't think that there are any others.

    3) if x=2

    26 + 14y = 41

    14y=15

    y=15/14 isn't natural

    4) if x=3

    39+14y=41

    y=2/14 isn't natural

    5) if x=4

    52+14y=41

    52 > 41 so you can stop because y has to be positive.

    The only good case is 2)

  3. a= 2 ($14) 1 ($13)

    i did it in my head but, i'd say for showing your work:

    41/3= 13 2/3

    13 x 3= 36

    14 x 3= 42      so.... 13+14+14= 41

  4. d**n that is easy.

    2*14=

    1*13=

    28+13=

    Done.

    You could've done that in less then half the time you spent writing the question.

    Hope I got you thinking

  5. Here's what the answer would look like without the attitude...

    2*14=

    1*13=

    28+13= 41

  6. You want us to do your homework? I'd rather say this and still get 2 points.

  7. 2 pack of CW & 1 pack of ES due to obvious reason.

    28+13=41

  8. 41 = 13*ES + 14*CW

    ES=1

    CW=2
