It is not a coin but a silver round. Most silver rounds are about 40mm in diameter and are one once of .999 silver. Some companies though big is better so mad 1/2 a troy pound and one pound troy .999 silver rounds. The largest I have seen is a one kilo. It is worth it's value in silver and that is it. It is not a coin and kind of falls into the medal class. You can pick up a weekday paper and look for the spot price of silver multiply that by 12 and that is the value. Dealers pay a percentage less so see more than one. Yes there are only 12 troy ounces to a pound not 16. it might be wise to keep it for silver is in short supply and the prices are going up.
