  1. why don't you tattoo "please pay attention to me" on your forehead

  2. In general nalu means surf, but can also mean surfer.  He'e Nalu as mentioned before would be closer to surfing.

BTW, Da kine doesn't mean the ****.  It's a generic terms which can mean just about anything.

  3. don't go with kook! kook means a surfer poser! dont go with sponger either, thats a body boarder. im not sure though what it is but donot go with sponger or kook.

  4. "Wahine" is what a woman who surfs in Hawaiian is called..hope that helped you out..

  5. There's not really a translation for that, but there is words for the types of waves like, breaking point, rise, swell.. here is a hawaiian dictionary. http://www.wehewehe.org/gsdl2.5/cgi-bin/...

Contact someone who speaks fluent Hawaiian because sometimes one word can mean 5 different things. I wouldn't suggest getting a tattoo without knowing the real meaning.

  6. Sponger

  7. Why would you want to tattoo the word surfing in Hawaiian?  Are you living in Hawaii?  Are you really a surfer?  I can tell you the word but you'll have to learn how to pronounce it.  The word is "He'e Nalu"  and it's pronounced like hey - eh nah - loo.  Aloha Ka Kou! =P

  8. He'e Nalu (hey-eh nah-loo) is Hawaiian for surfing. It roughly translates to "sliding on the waves". He'e is Hawaiian for octopus and used to describe slippery things in the Hawaiian language. Nalu is one of many Hawaiian terms for ocean waves.

  9. I think what he is after is a symbol that represents the word surf. You might try this site. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawaiian_La...

  10. Da kine=the ****

  11. here you go: "Kook." i understand it's symbolic for you so i was glad to help out.
