  1. No Go Showboat

  2. Mine came with the chrome. It wasn't added.

Why have chrome instead of paint? Because chrome does not chip and scratch like paint. It actually corrodes less.

Some people own butt jewelry. I own a motorcycle.

So what if it's got some shiny parts?

    Edit:

Gotta laugh at the thumbs down. Maybe I should have clarified. The chrome wasn't added, it was standard on the model I bought. HD had their reason for it, I had another. Maybe it was 4 grand more, but I wasn't shopping at Wal-Mart.

  3. 1 word nighttrain

  4. Because the guys who buy that stuff are RUBs

  5. I was once told by a guy with a decked out HD hardtail and a decked out wife with a HD.

"it is better to arrive in style, then in comfort"

To many it is an image thing.

Also why the image leathers? Notice the police in this heat do not wear "skid" protection. It becomes nothing but image.

Been riding for 35 years on the cheaper side of life.

  6. Bling Bling.

Whats a HD if its not slow and heavy?

  7. kinda like why truckers chrome out there trucks, there not fast so they gotta look good, my dad buys all this extra chrome, the spends hours polishing it, takes it for a ride then polishes a few days later, i think he does it to get away from the step mom from time to time, he gets to sit and polish his bike to pass time, but it does look cool

  8. HD Owners think everybody is impressed of their HD

if you ever notice HD Riders whenever they stop somewhere, at a restaurant, bar, store, ect, they ALWAYS park their HD as close as they can to the entrance, even blocking the main door of the business and the HD Riders just stand their next to their HD watching everybody that walks past looking at their HD.

They have that pride but they are wrong, most people are NOT impressed

  9. if i had the money id chrome out my bike.. i think it looks sick. its the same reason you put dubs on a car

  10. to save them the hassle of riding all the time...

this way they can spend countless hours polishing chrome bits rather than actually dealing with the poor performance of their loser cruiser

  11. I agree with M.C.M.

  12. It all goes back to the old saying; "If it don't go fast, chrome it."

  13. I am not a harley person, I have Victory's (american made) and j*p-cruisers.

The cruiser market bikes are all about cruising and looking good.

Because everything we do add weight to the bike, we buy high polished aluminum products, most made in small quantities and not made on a assembly line.

Crouch rockets, dirt bikes, touring bikes ect dont care as much about looks and have alot of plastic on them. Also cost alot less in most cases.

Crusiers ride cool and look good. Chrome it Up !

  14. so people can get their bikes to look the way they want.  i have an HD with very little chrome, i have a night train.

why do the sport bike guys try to make their 1000cc bike even faster?  they go plenty fast enough as it is, why put the money into it?  different strokes for different folks.  if we all had the same opinions there would be 1 motorcyle made, and no aftermarket.

  15. Because we can.

It must be tough living on Spam and crackers. Don't worry. Hopefully the minimum wage will be raised soon.
