HD Multimedia Enclosure and DVD copy software?

Question

I'm looking to get a hard drive recorder/player to use with my PC. Have discovered the Emprex ME1. Any info.

I'll need to copy all my DVD films into it. What software can I use that'll get over the write protection. I think I'm legally allowed to make back up copies of them. Cheers
