HD Ready or not ???? I bought my son a Goodmans LD1928W 19-inch LCD Televisions just over a year

I bought my son a Goodmans LD1928W 19-inch LCD Televisions just over a year ago, he has since bought a PS3 to take advantage of the HD Quality, it is connected with a component video cable and he is not getting the HD Quality. We have read online there is a possibility this tv was missold as it's not HD Ready. Can you help? Viv Wilson
