HD TV no...or yes ?

hi im looking for hd tv but i have no idea what to buy flat screen or plazma and withings like that im thinking about panasonice 42 inch 1439 $ any advices

Yes, go for it!

There is no higher quality 42" HDTV than Panasonic, for both performance and reliability!!! You are looking at a superior TV. Do not listen to any of the absolute idiots who lamely try to post on this forum with boogyman plasma stories, like the plasma gas has to be replaced ever year. lol

If it is in your budget, then Panasonic is a very high quality, reliable brand.  I would say that Panasonic, Samsung & Sony lead the HDTV market.  I wouldn't get a lesser brand to save money, because you'll regret skimping.  If you are choosing between LCD and Plasma, I would go for an LCD since they last much longer and are cheaper to fix.  Also, LCD's, in my opinion, look better/

Well first of all, there are 2 types of flatscreen tvs

Plasma and LCD. They are both great; pros and cons for each. But instead of arguing about which type is better, I'm going to tell you the best of each.

Panasonic, Hitachi

Sony and Samsung are the best by FAR!

LCD Brands to avoid: Westinghouse, Vizio, Magnavox, Olevia, Insignia

Best Plasma Brands: Pioneer, Panasonic,Samsung, and LG

ANYWAY...

Currently the best LCD out there is the LN-52A650 by Samsung.... it looks INCREDIBLE with the 360/PS3 and Blueray! and pretty much anything else...

Cnet.com just gave the 52 inch version an 8.0 ratingmaking it their best rated LCD tv!! The picture quality is amazing!

It has 1080p, 120hz, 50:000:1 Contrast ratio, 4ms Response time, Game/movie/sports modes.. pretty much all the latest goodies to look for in an LCD (beachcamera.com has the 40inch version for around 1500)

Other top of the line LCDs include:

Sony KDL-40XBR4 ,5,6,7, and 8 (Sony XBR line is among the best in LCD tvs)

Samsung LN-T4081F

Currently THE absolute best PLASMA is the "Pioneer KURU elite" (INCREDIBLE picture quality,the BEST of the best,extremely expensive)

Other top of the line plasmas include:

*Panasonic TH-50PZ800U ( If you still want a panasonic, this is the one to get)

*Samsung PN-50A650 (amazing picture quality/color/detail + 3D tv capable)
