Trying to find a tuner, but only seem to find tuners for computers...is a tuner for the tv called something different? Sounds ignorant?..it should because I am when it comes to this tech stuff.

I have been searching using "ATSC Tuner" I am only finding tv's with built in tuners or external tuners for computers. Actual help is very much appreciated! I want to get an idea of pricing before I walk into Circuit City or Radio Shack, etc..

  1. A popular HD ATSC tuner is the Samsung DTB-H260F. It also has a HD QAM tuner for use in some digital cable systems.

All of the coupon type converter boxes that are in the press these days have ATSC tuners but they only have SD resolution analog outputs. If your HD ready TV has a small screen, these might be a reasonable alternative. If you have a big screen TV, the picture resolution wouldn't be too good.
