HDMI 1.2 or 1.3 for LG 32LC7D?

hey my LG 32LC7D was maufactured November 2007, anybody know if it has HDMI 1.2 or 1.3? What is the difference between them anyways?

  1. You should not have to worry about the version of HDMI.

    Most of the v1.3 features are OPTIONAL anyhow (examples: Support for deep color or xvYCC color space).

    Any cable will work.


  2. It's a safe bet your TV is compatible with 1.2 or 1.3 HDMI cables.

    Here is a couple of links that should help you better understand the differences between the many types of HDMI cables. You will see the type of cable needed depends on the equipment being used.

    Right now 1.3b cables are most useful for the audio capabilities when playing Blu Ray movies; ie. Dolby Digital True HD audio, and DTS-HD Master Audio. A 1.3b cable would have no effect on the picture quality.

    PS. Buy your cables on ebay you will save big bucks!
