HDMI Cable dilemma. Cheap or Expensive?

My dilemma is do I purchase a Sony HDMI Cable for £20.00 or an average, no brand one for £5.00. I wondered if there was a substantial difference between the the two or is it just a overpriced Sony branded cable.

Unless an HDMI cable is unusually long, the cheaper cables will do fine. HDMI cables are one of the big rip-offs associated with HDTVs.

Do NOT pay more than $5 for HDMI cables...all that monster cable, gold plated, triple thick, hand made by elfs bull is to trying to rip you off.  

Get this one for $1.88 and it will work just as well as the $150 ones:

All HDMI cables are generally the same. Sony just has a tendency to overprice things, and don't even get me started on monster cables.
